Almost There

As I was pulling in the parking lot this morning, I noticed a gaggle of geese blocking off some good spaces. It was really all I could do to keep myself from mowing them down. It would have been in self-defense. Really.

Why am I bringing this up? Oh... right. Because I'm getting ready to write another post about tattoos and I thought maybe if you wanted to read something else you could read this instead: one of my favorite posts.

Starting this past Wednesday night, I began a marathon extended weekend of craziness. Dinner with my sister's family that night, swim lessons tonight, family night at church tomorrow night, Gap Party Saturday, and........ getting my tattoo finished Sunday! I think.

I've thought I was getting this tattoo twice before. I'm trying to be optimistic that this is actually going to happen. I really, really can't wait till it's finished. You know what else I can't wait to be finished? This week. And this month. *sigh*

  1. I came across your blog via Reen Reznik. I also found very few comments on them. It surprises me because your blogs are deeply heart felt and I was touched by them. I like Reen, she does not give you any bull. She calls it like it is. She also is a talented writer and I am encouraging her to get her work published. I am sure she would make the best sellers list. You probably wonder who I am......well, I am an old man of 82, married to an angel for over 40 years. We have 5 grown sons and a stepdaughter (she really thinks of me as her real father and I adore her). I am an atheist and a skeptic (sorry, not meant to offend you) Don't hold that against me though.

I can recognise a good blog when I see one and yours are worth reading. With your permission I may post a comment sometimes and I will recommend your blog to other people.

  2. Thank you for reading and for your comment. Irena is amazing, isn't she? I also happened on her blog and I love the way she writes. I am so glad to have someone else encouraging her to try to publish.

I am not one to hold atheism or skepticism against anyone, as long as it is accompanied by an open mind. Do you write?
